Working together

I work with individuals and couples, teenage through to adult.

If you are interested in a course of counselling, the first step is an assessment. This lasts up to an hour and a half. The purpose of the assessment is to talk about why you think you would like some counselling, a little about your earlier life, and for us to decide if working together could be helpful.

If we decide to continue with ongoing counselling,  you will be offered a mutually convenient time which will be the same each week. Thereafter counselling sessions last 50 minutes.

What you say in your counselling sessions is confidential. Exceptions to this include situations where someone's life may be at risk or by requirement of a court of law.

Your counselling session will be at the same time each week. It is a space reserved for you. If for any reason you are unable to attend, where possible I will try to arrange an alternative appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than a week's notice will be charged for.

I will give you as much notice as possible if I am unable to attend a session.
